Dr. Michau is a firecracker who greeted me Friday night, 1 December 2023 with high energy, kindness and genuine concern about my issue. His questions and suggestions indicated expertise that few Emergency Department treating physicians seem to have. He did not just parrot my remarks without thoroughly considering them. He listened; he heard me; and he computed thoughtfully and with a smile behind his mask that proves he's earned his 26+-year success. Even when he made wonderful humor out of the idea of spinal tap -- a procedure performed on me twice in my 65 years and the last at Rex Emergency Department -- I can tell he cares for his patients. What a kind human being and an astute professional! Rex/UNC Health is blessed to employ him.
