My husband was a patient at Cape Fear Valley. He had been admitted via ambulance 3 times during the month of May and a 4th on June 5th. My husband was 92 years old and we were getting very concerned about him being put on a ventilator 3 times in one month. Dr. McArtan took time to talk to us and explain how the body reacts to the removal of the ventilator. My husband commented how smart he was and he helped us feel more comfortable about his treatment.
