Dr. Wood is a miracle worker who did 2 surgeries on me - a coccygectomy and an L5-S1 disk replacement. He gave me my life back and I am forever grateful.1) Coccygectomy - Dr. Wood is one of the few drs willing to do this surgery. I broke my tailbone while snowboarding and sat on a donut pillow for 2 years, crying almost daily from the pain. Cortisone shots didn't help. There were only so many pain killers I could take. Dr. Wood warned me the result of coccygectomy wouldn't be immediate, but just a few weeks post surgery, the pain was practically gone, never to return again.2) Disk replacement for a degenerated disk at L5-S1 - After 20 years of on-off back pain w. disk herniations, despite physical therapy and core strengthening, I took the leap on a disk replacement surgery with Dr. Wood. Surgery was a tremendous success. 20yrs of back pain wiped out over night. Disk is going strong 4yrs later, never had low back pain again.Dr. Wood restored my faith in medicine hope for the future.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
