Dr. Joos was my son’s initial hospitalist upon admission and one that maintained most of his treatment while receiving care at Auburn Sutter. What a breath of fresh air to have my son under his watchful eye. A critical situation was carefully and skillfully managed for 4 days of hospitalization. His balance of treating the whole patient while being conservatively aggressive gave us a good outcome. His bedside manner was polite and caring, he thoughtfully researched as necessary, and communicated with us effectively. The whole ICU team was great. The ER is another story for another day. Grateful to have the upstairs teams caring for the people of our little town. As a parent of a special needs adult, I’m grateful to know we have the resources close to home when needed. We generally go to Sac for care and opted for the closer to home option for treatment.
