My family is full of doctors. My father was a cardiologist. I know what good medical care is supposed to be. Dr. D is absolutely the best cardiologist I've known since my father. Young. Progressive. Sharp. Clear. Good-humored. Conservative in using drugs -- does not believe in insisting on them if something else works. Approved of all my alternatives to prescribed drugs which don't give me side effects but do the required job for my health. Agreed with my assessment about what was going on with me, and agreed on a way to deal with my blood pressure medication that should mitigate if not outright cure the problem. Most importantly, he understands that the best doctor-patient relationship is as co-conspirators -- not an authority and a meek sheep.It's rare to find doctors that practice 21st century medicine with the care, listening ability and thoroughness of mid-20th century physicians. Dr. D does, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
