Dr. Althausen is new to Powell Pediatrics, and we just had a great experience with her. Our daughter has had a cough for several weeks, and we have been working proactively with Powell Pediatrics to resolve it step-by-step. We had a face-to-face appointment with Dr. Althausen amidst the pandemic. She was so thorough in her assessment of our daughter and explained everything clearly to us. My daughter immediately felt at ease with her. She took time to answer all our questions and discuss options with us. She gave us wise and careful counsel regarding where to go for a chest x-ray and guard our daughter against COVID-19 as much as possible. She quickly called us with the results of the x-ray and ordered lab testing that yielded an exact diagnosis the next day. Our daughter now has the exact antibiotic she needs to get rid of this cough. Thank you Dr. Althausen! You're an excellent addition to this already fantastic practice!
