Patient Reviews
Nov 23, 2024
In September of 2024 I was referred to Dr. Flannery for aortic stenosis and needed a new heart valve. I was almost 78. She took the time to listen to the questions of an anxious, old man and answered each in terms I understood. She was kind, empathetic and honest - but optimistic. She performed a Heart Catheterization, finding my twenty-year-old stent in the LAD to be 90% blocked. It's now 0% blocked, by a procedure she performed using shockwaves! Five days later she performed the TAVR procedure, moving my new heart valve up through my femoral artery and installing it into my heart. It's been seven weeks now with no issues and more energy than I've had in years. Dr. Flannery was there every step of the way with big smiles and comforting words. I needed both. Thanks, Doc! (P.S. - I later learned she graduated pre-med and medical school 'with honors' and was awarded three cardiology fellowships, spanning 5 years, at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital. She's the real deal.)

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
