Approaching a second major surgery, I felt I needed my anesthesiologist to understand what had happened in my other experience. Dr. Schengen took the time to listen well and to assure me of her plans to avoid any such possibility, even though it meant more technical demands on her. Her spirit was very pleasant while being a true professional. Afterward I felt she had succeeded; I had no anesthesia hangover.
