My adrenal failure went undiagnosed for years before I awoke in a hospital bed at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center to see Dr Crapo explaining to several other MDs what an adrenal crisis looked like. He immediately - even before the definitive tests were in - started me on hydrocortisone which saved my life.
