As I entered Dr. Mead’S exam room, while waiting to see him I saw an article on the wall relating to the outcome of surgeries and procedures provided and the percentages of success in relation to each. I was not sure if I wanted to spend the money they were charging for a bone marrow stem cell procedure. After reading that article I decided that it was for me. Bear in mind I am a 90 year old facing a moderate tear of my right arm rotator cuff. During the prep for the procedure I was given a pain medication for the immediate aftermath of the surgery. I went home and spent the rest of the day reading. When getting ready for bed that night I was starting to feel a minor pain and not wanting to spent my first night on pain I took my first pain pill. The next morning I again had a pain level on about 3 going on so I took my second pain pill. That second night I again was experiencing a pain level of about 3 and took a third pain pill.
