I am surprised and sorry to hear that anyone had a negative experience with Dr. Riopel. My own experience with her and her interactions with preteens and teens have shown so much empathy and insight—I trust her without question. There are concerns with some anxiety medications and antidepressants that there can be adverse effects that lead to self harm or tragic results, so perhaps she was attempting to be certain that wasn’t occurring with your child. I have never had an issue when I asked Dr. Riopel a question or voiced any concerns. She is a gem.
