My experience with Dr. Melman and her team for my surgery was truly remarkable. It was painless and trouble free. Every aspect of my same-day surgery and recovery went flawlessly. I was at RWJ hospital for only six hours total, 90 minutes for the actual surgery with the Da Vinci robot (Vinny) and Dr. Melman at the controls. When I got home I napped for an hour and then dressed myself and walked around the house for about 2000 steps with out any discomfort. My family could not believe how good I felt. On day 1 after surgery I felt better than I felt the day before surgery. On day 3 I was out of the house walking a mile and eating out. It is now almost three months after my surgery and have had zero issues and have never felt any sensations from the large implanted mesh that repaired my defect. I know many people who have had hernia surgery and non have had as trouble free a recovery. I am so happy I decided to have Dr. Melman fix my defect. Dr. Melman, thank you so much.
