I cannot recommend Dr. Louis M. Wong Kee Song at the Mayo Clinic enough. After being told by every expert in Charlotte, NC, that a Low Anterior Resection (LAR) was my only option for a large 10 cm x 12 cm colorectal polyp, I felt hopeless. The LAR would have removed 17 cm of my colon, with weeks to months of recovery and potential complications.Using the advanced Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) technique, Dr. Wong Kee Song successfully removed my polyp—something others said couldn’t be done endoscopically. His expertise and precision avoided major surgery, saving me pain, a long recovery, and long-term impacts on my colon.Remarkably, my recovery took only two days, and I was back to feeling normal almost immediately. Dr. Wong Kee Song’s skill, confidence, and care were extraordinary. If you face a similar situation, know that the Mayo Clinic and Dr. Wong Kee Song can deliver a miraculous outcome!
