Dr. Giron was my neurologist for more than 10 years at the KC VAMC. Although we were never able to get my seizures under control while I was under his care, he did seek the consultation of an epileptologist for some other treatments and never gave up on me. I’m now under the care of an Epileptologist in Phoenix, AZ who has reviewed all of my EEGs, including the first VEEG from UCLA, and has done a new VEEG in the last year, confirming my seizures come from four lobes in my brain and that I was even misdiagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome twenty years ago and was having even more seizures than what I knew to report because of the misdiagnosis that an EMG study also ruled out last year. Dr. Giron helped get me where I am today. I wish he hadn’t retired and that I could tell him all of this myself.
