Patient Reviews
Jan 26, 2024
Because of insurance issues, my surgical center would cost much more with my regular eye doctor for treating cataracts, so I chose Dr. Platt who did my wife's cataracts and was so pleased. I didn't meet Dr. Platt until just before the surgery and I asked what the lens would do. I was disappointed that I would still require reading glasses because both lens would be for distance--or my lenses would be $3400 each. So I said to go ahead; I've always had glasses. But a few days after surgery, Dr. Platt called me at home to tell me a lens manufacturer was running a promo and I could get a $3,000 lens for free for my second eye! So we did it! I was blown away that 1) Dr. Platt personally called me EVEN THOUGH I wasn't even his own patient! And he knew I was disappointed which prompted his going above and beyond! His competence was obvious, but I loved his care and the thousands he saved me.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
