I'm glad to have a geriatrician as my PCP for sev'l reasons. Most of us have more medical conditions as we age; the complexity of sorting them out & making appropriate tx decisions therefore increases. Dr. Kim seems to be able to keep these various conditions in mind as she listens & responds to a pt's concerns. She manages to do so with more empathy, & what clearly is genuine concern, than many MD's I have known. And she does so in a system, Kaiser, that is often not conducive to caring.
