I was diagnosed with late-stage AML, 3 weeks from death. 1/3 of my blood was useless (blasts). The entire medical staff thought I was going to die, but Dr. Walker kept pushing forward, testing all sorts of things to see what treatment would be best. He decided on chemo instead of a bone marrow transplant, and it worked. I'm alive today because of him and I am eternally grateful (if there is an eternity, otherwise, I'll be thankful my whole life).
