Patient Reviews
Dec 13, 2022
In the beginning of my pregnancy, I was diagnosed with a platelet disorder that required a hematologist to weigh in. Did I have any idea what a hematologist does? Absolutely not. But wow am I happy I ended up with Dr. Zurbriggen as my Hematologist! He ran tests quickly, is always available for questions, and I truly feel he only wants what's best for me and my baby. He effectively explained the pros and cons of my situation and made sure I was comfortable with his approach, and he is in constant contact with my OB-GYN as needed (but keeps me in the loop!). His nurse, Allison, is so great, I had about 10 calls from her in 1 day (which was necessary) and she is always so friendly and explains everything in a way I can comprehend.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
