My son would not be alive today without the dedication and expertise of Dr Del Portillo. He was born 24 years ago at 1 pound 10 ounces .. Dr Del Portillo recognized that he was at risk for the disease necrotizing entercolitis. At 3 weeks he developed the disease . She stayed by this side all night treating him. Since he needed surgery she sent him to the best surgeon she knew. She is an extraordinary physician and will always be my hero.
