Unfortunately, the quality of care was very poor. The most main problem was there was not a single dedicated doctor to investigate my wife's symptoms. We constantly had different medical teams coming to the house. We had to call the office to get explanations of test results and recommendations. After over a month of no progress in the cause and treatment of her sickness, the homecare company recommended we see an internal medicine doctor. I tried but no doctor would make home visits and wait times for an office visit would be weeks. I found Dr. Mai-Phuong Nguyen online. The description online was that 'Dr. Nguyen graduated from USC with more than 26 years experience.' I was completely overwhelmed with what came next. On the phone, she got right into the history and because my wife's symptoms were worrisome, she arranged to see us urgently. After assessing my wife's condition, she came up with a care plan and coordinated medications, in-home blood tests, physical therapy, etc.
