I was hospitalized due to a deep dog bite and my thumb was horribly infected. Dr. Scheinman came to the emergency room at LIJ to see me around 11 pm on Independence Day to clean and drain my wounds on my hand. He approached me in a friendly, calm manner and his bedside manner was fantastic. Despite the pain and anxiety, I was very relieved and comfortable with the procedure that he performed. He went above and beyond and even found and brought a chair somewhere in the ER for my mom so she could sit. I went to see him at his office in Lawrence for a follow-up appointment 2 days later. Office staff was so polite and the office itself was extremely clean and neat! I would highly recommend Dr. Scheinman!!! Thank you for being so thorough and incredible!
