Dr. Del Carmen was lovely and was very engaged in the appointment. She eagerly entered into a conversation about my cancer history and previous treatments; her eyes lit up when I mentioned some of her colleagues; she also showed interest in what was going on for me outside of my symptoms. Although her tone was easygoing, she was efficient with her time, explaining my condition and showing me specific images from my MRI to illustrate the reasons for my diagnosis (and why some things remain unknown). She answered questions completely and was calm and reassuring when describing the details of my upcoming bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and d & c. Thanks to her, I feel as if I know exactly what to expect.
