I interviewed 3 different surgeons in the Bay Area before deciding to go with Dr. Bowers for my gender affirming vaginoplasty. She had the most experience with this type of surgery and her results were the most natural looking with minimal scarring. I was a little uncertain to find out that she recently had added Dr. Gunther to assist. However, her confidence and warmth helped put my mind at ease. She uses a combination of techniques that she has learned and perfected over many years. The procedure went remarkably well and both doctors were there each day at the hospital to answer questions and check up on me. Later I made use of texts and calls to communicate. They were both very responsive making the recovery process easier. I had only a minor complication which Dr. Bowers took care of in her office. Her staff is very friendly, responsive and efficient. After a year, the aesthetics are great, and the responsiveness and sensation are truly beyond expectation. I'm glad I chose her.
