Patient Reviews
Feb 21, 2022
I came to Dr. Ferrara for a second opinion after receiving my first from a reputable doctor in Cleveland clinic, who suggested open ileostomy surgery. Dr. Ferrara listened to my history, understood my concerns, and offered a hopeful and less evasive surgical alternative to address my presenting case of Crohn’s disease. Dr. Ferrara is compassionate and professional in his approach, caring for his patients with a personal touch. In his care, he took the time to contact my gastroenterologist and open the lines of communication and collaborative treatment. Dr. Ferrara did not guarantee the possibility robotic surgery, given my history of prior surgeries and possible scar tissue. However, based on our conversation, I knew he would make every effort to proceed minimally. Ultimately, Dr. Ferrara completed the surgery robotically with an impressive healing outcome and significantly less pain than anything I had experienced in previously. I am grateful and fully endorse him!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
