Dr. McGowan saved my life. I had a colonoscopy at 50. I was working as a career firefighter when I was diagnosed with stage 3C colon cancer in 2009. After having 12 inches of my sigmoid colon removed, of the 11 lymph nodes removed, nine were positive. Dr. McGowan (Blondie) oversaw my six months of chemotherapy. Because of her I am cancer free 14 years later.
