Dr. Toliver is a good listener, which isn't something we have always experienced with psychiatrists or even psychiatric nurse practitioners. Dr. Toliver engages with my teenage daughter like she is a person with feelings, not just an appointment to be medicated and shuffled along. She remembers details from my child's stories told in previous visits, asks questions about her life and friendships and school, and makes suggestions without making us feel like we aren't allowed to disagree or have opinions. She also found a medication that actually helps with my child's elusive condition. She's great.
