He performed a Percutaneous Nephrostomy on me in an emergency situation. Although I clearly needed the procedure, desparately, I was unilling to accept anesthesia, sedation or opioids. He seemed to have no problem altering his standard m.o. to accomidate my needs & save my life. The procedure was successful without pain even after the Lidocaine had worn off. (The only side effect was pain in my shoulders from the position I was placed in.)
