I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mark Gendreau MD, recently at an ER Visit to the Boston area Hospital where he now practices. He introduced himself and was very calm and a real gentlemen. He did an extensive exam on me for the condition I presented with. He ruled out my need for an emergency surgery that was the reason for my visit, but he took the time to answer all of my questions and explain to me why I would likely need surgery and also explained in good understandable detail procedures that were possible to do to avoid a major surgery. He prescribed medication to help my pain settle down and it did, and gave me detailed information to explain possible side effects and the benefits I could expect from the medication. Dr. Gendreau was outstanding and in my opinion the best ER doctor if not the best and most considerate doctor I've ever met. I was very lucky to meet him and have him in an emergency medical situation. He is an outstanding doctor.
