Dr. Mark Gilder gave me my life back. I suffered from 4th degree chronic Hemorrhoids. Internal a prolapsed for years. It got very bad this past Thanksgiving and was unable to self manage anymore. I called him on a Monday and I saw him the same day for a consultation. Everyone in his office was extremely kind and accommodating. Dr. Gilder took his time and explained everything very thoroughly to me and my wife to make sure we understood the situation and what the options, risks, rewards were. He was also very funny and made feel better about the situation i was in. It was determined I needed urgent surgery and I was scheduled for Thursday that same week. I went in for surgery at St Barnabas Surgical Center in Livingston. Also a place where everyone was extremely kind and made sure I was ok. I saw Dr. Gilder before my surgery and he was once again kind and funny. He asked if I wanted any tunes. We turned on Bob Marley Three Little Birds. Dr. Gilder sang the song as I was wheeled to surgery. Once in surgery, I once again was very comforted. Next think I knew I woke up in recovery. When I saw him again, he answered all my questions and made sure i knew what to do for the next few days to treat my wound and make sure I was in no pain. Unfortunately, I was in some pain and felt the need to call Dr. Gilder. I called the night nurse and within 20 mins Dr. Gilder called me back. It was 930pm on a Thursday. All in all, my surgery experience with Dr. Gilder was a very positive experience. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort for a very long time and he gave me my life back. Thank you Dr. Gilder and your staff.
