In December 2024, I was diagnosed with Spinal Schwannoma, a very rare type of nerve tumor that sits on the spine. This news hit me like a tornado as I had not experienced any symptoms. This tumor will cause paralysis if it is not removed due to its compression on the spinal cord. By God’s grace, I was very lucky to have found Dr Mark Bilsky that saved my life. He had been very skillful, meticulous and with a warm bedside caring manner. After a few hours of surgery and a 4 days hospital stay, I’m now discharged from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and on my road to recovery. Thank you very much, Dr Bilsky. May God bless you always to save more lives.
