He was willing to listen to my own research and agreed to keep in touch with me once a week about my very severe gestational diabetes saying I knew enough that I didn't have to attend weekly appointments at Valley Care's diabetes center, which was a relief as I was arguing with the center weekly about their treatment, as I already knew everything they told me. Dr. Christiansen volunteered to call me weekly, went over my numbers, increased my insulin as needed, and never made me feel ignorant.
