My colon spontaneously ruptured, Dr. Sturdivant did ER surgery. He's a very knowledgeable, discerning, professional, skilled, caring & personable Doctor & surgeon. I developed a lg deep fistula & had a ton of mesh in my gut from a previous hernia & colon surgery in FL which complicated my wound healing in Raleigh. Dr. S was meticulous in providing me the highest-level surgical & post op care in ICU & then the general ward. He personally provided wound care removing mesh bits inside the fistula & directed the wound care staff at Duke Raleigh Hospital, who were wonderful. He always took time to answer questions & keep me informed of my health status. He saved my life quite frankly. I'll be forever thankful God providing Dr. Sturdivant for me. Although I'm no longer in NC, if I were, he would be my first choice if a need arose. Thank you, Dr. Sturdivant. May the Lord bless all your days.
