Patient Reviews
Dec 06, 2023
I had a remarkable experience with Dr. Halstead. I have been with the Virginia Women's Center practice for 15 years and recently chose Dr. Halstead to be my new OB. She is incredibly generous with her time, always addresses my concerns, and thoroughly explains the relevant procedures. She exhibits a warm compassion about her, creating a supportive and empathetic environment that made a significant (positive) difference in my overall healthcare experience as a transgender person. I highly recommend her for her professionalism, thoroughness, and genuine care for her patients.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
