Patient Reviews
Feb 23, 2024
I was a little concerned after reading some not-so-great reviews before my surgery. I had blepharoplasty surgery yesterday @ Wentworth Douglas Day Surgery Center. Dr Kavanaugh was friendly and professional she asked me more than once if I had any questions or concerns. The entire staff was super nice. I felt heard and informed. The procedure went great and today I have zero pain and little swelling to my surprise. In reading through a couple of the reviews someone mentioned waking up during surgery being horrified that she could hear the staff chatting. This is by design as it is a controlled sedation and is much easier and safer for this type of procedure. The Anesthesiologist is responsible for sedation and monitoring pain levels, not the surgeon. I was asleep the first part of the procedure and awake during the stitches able to join in on the conversation.I found Dr Kavanaugh to be kind and approachable. So far I am thrilled with the results and I'm only on day two.
