Dr. Segal is a very smart and direct person and I found that quite helpful. I have a complicated medical history and it's hard to explain it all to any one doctor. Lucky for me, Dr. Segal is also an MD so she was quickly able to grasp the overview. At the first meeting she was able to tell me things that I haven't heard in all my many years (yeah, like 24 yrs on and off in therapy). She also suggested a meeting that might benefit me and set me up with a therapist.
