Mary Efremov was a caring, somewhat eccentric doctor who worked to provide patients with options needed to improve their health. She would spend as much time as needed on the phone with your insurance company getting prescriptions authorized. She thought of possibilities other doctors might not even consider. Once when I was having allergic reactions to very many foods, she asked the simple question, “do you wash dry beans before cooking them?” This simple thoughtful question made a big difference for me in dealing with my allergies.
