How likely are you to recommend Dr. Cunningham-Hill?
My son suffered a football injury to his knee. I'll not discuss why it took 11.5 hours until he reached Ruby Memorial hospital in Morgantown, but during this time there was no blood flow to his lower leg; it was ice cold and changing colors. The 1st hospital thought the artery was clamped, not allowing blood to flow. Dr Cunningham-Hill was the vascular surgeon who discovered that the popliteal artery (main artery knee lower leg) had actually been severed on impact. He performed a bypass using a vein from other leg. While we waited out the surgery, we had prepared ourselves for amputation, since his leg had went without blood flow for 11.5 hours. Some Drs wouldn't have tried to save a limb that had went that long without blood flow. We will always be grateful to Cunningham-Hill as we watch our son WALK through life with BOTH of his legs.
