Dr. Tick is, quite simply, the best GI doctor or surgeon you could possibly imagine. He is kind, he is patient, he listens well, and he collaborates with patients to determine the best method of treatment. There are times when he has responded to MyChart messages within an hour, even when I’ve sent them at 11pm at night. You simply can’t find that degree of dedication anywhere. As a small example, he has gone above and beyond to find surgical options for me when it looked like adrenal insufficiency might make conventional anesthesia risky, and when that issue resolved (after discontinuing prescribed steroids), he didn’t mind throwing out weeks of his work finding alternatives to take me on as a patient again himself. There are good doctors. There are great doctors. And then there are doctors who are so great they get added to my holiday cookie list. Dr. Tick is most assuredly the latter kind of doctor. I couldn’t recommend him more highly!
