Patient Reviews
Sep 25, 2023
Dr. Taban and his staff were very supportive, and he is an excellent doctor and surgeon. I basically could no longer see well in my right eye because I had a hole in my macula. After various tests Dr. Mehran recommended surgery as soon as possible in the immediate future, but suggested I have cataract surgery on the eye because there was a short window of opportunity to do so. My ophthalmologist performed the cataract surgery, and his office and Dr. Taban worked together. I learned that my macula hole surgery required a gas bubble in my eye with my keeping the bubble to stay over the repaired macula hole which makes the cornea dryer than normal. During my eye surgery, Dr. Taban repaired with a laser a tear in my retina caused by the macula hole. Afterwards, I received two eye injections to help the healing of my macula. I always kept my appointments because I wanted to make sure I followed his instructions for the best possible outcome. I am very grateful to Dr. Taban.
