Dr. Maxey is very, very competent as a young surgeon; she is highly intelligent, soft spoken and compassionate. She performed an umbilical hernia on me, which had a sizable opening before surgery, resulting from a prior emergency surgery I had with a different surgeon a year ago. She joined the abdominal wall flesh by incision, as well as repairing from the interior of the abdominal wall, using the "laparoscopic procedures."
