Many years ago I went into a clinic and happened to get Dr Miller. She has changed my standards completely, and no other Dr has met them. Dr Miller came into the room on the first visit and pulled up a chair beside me. She looked me in the eye during the conversation, asked questions that were relevant to my visit, but also my all over health. I have never been comfortable with doctors, but I immediately felt comfortable with her. I felt heard and seen. She never rushed me through the exam, always had time for my questions. Every other Dr at that clinic and others spends about 15 minutes on appointments, clicking through their screens, asking prompted questions and almost seeming on script. Dr Miller has actual conversations with patients, which is so important to catch things the patient may not even notice, like mental health. She was the first Dr to listen to me and order the tests that got my diagnosis, and was the only Dr to give the proper medication to handle it.
