I had an accident Saturday afternoon. I was stepping over a metal puppy fence and somehow my shoe got caught in the fence. This caused me to fall onto the fence also causing the one inch metal spikes from the fence to get impaled in the front and back of my left knee.I decided to go the Belpre emergency room as it's the closest to me. This being my first time there I wasn't sure what to expect. As with most ers I was prepared for hours of waiting. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that I was taken directly back, vitals taken, etc. Within what seemed like minutes Dr. Mason was there to access the situation and explained her treatment plan. She left the room and the nurses came back in, gave me a tetanus shot, and then prepared me for stitches. Dr. Mason came back in and even though one of the wounds was in a very awkward place ( the back of my knee) she was able to numb me and stitch me up also in a matter of minutes! Ty Dr. Mason!
