Dr. Maceroli seems to be able to handle most orthopedic situations including trauma. Like most doctors he’s very much impeded by fear of medical malpractice lawsuits. I think that is why he is not more forthcoming at times. Got acquainted with him following automobile accident. My left leg, which is already compromised due to polio and previous injuries, was a mess and he managed to put it back together. Even handled a wound repair. Think it was a problem with a staple, but he was not willing to talk about how the wound occurred postsurgically. Is reluctant to talk about possible future procedures to replace a knee that currently has seven screws in it. I think that both times he was less Communicative was a combination of not wanting to predict until we get closer to a determination of how well my leg is going to work, but also perhaps a reflection of this horrible tort situation at doctors face. He is not perfect but he has a positive and problem-solving approach.
