Patient Reviews
Oct 24, 2023
My son was born with a rare disease called biliary atresia. The whole team at Mayo Clinic was incredible, but Dr. Ishitani is the surgeon who performed the kasai on my son. It is a 6-hour procedure, and the odds were against us for surgery success. My son has a version of biliary atresia that is not common. The surgery has been successful, and we are incredibly thankful. He even took the time to make a handwritten drawing of a dog on my son's bandage for us to see when he came out of surgery.
