Dr. House performed a six hour emergency surgery, in which half of my liver was removed, and a section of my small intestine was used to reconstruct necessary connections. It was a very complex surgery. I understand that few doctors in this country are skilled enough to perform this surgery. He clearly placed my well being as a priority, took time to explain the procedure and followed up regularly. Prior doctors misdiagnosed my condition. How do I thank you for saving my life? He said 'No thanks necessary. Just go out and enjoy your life.' I will strive to do this, thanks to him. He was very down to earth. The IU University hospital staff was amazing as well.
