I started seeing Dr. Uzmann when I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes by my PCP. Because I have a 'bad' family history of diabetes (including an amputation), I wanted to get on top of this early and not let it progress to full diabetes. I had to wait 2 weeks for my first appointment; I was surprised I got in that quickly. His office staff is friendly and prompt. I have never waited more than 10 minutes max to get called to the back. I have a lot of questions every time I see him and he always takes the time to answer - he doesn't rush me as if he needs to get to the next patient. Others note his office never answers the phone, however, the message clearly says you can you send a text message and they will get back to you; you can also message them through your patient portal. They have never failed to get back with me within 48 hours. Although by A1c on my first visit was 'only' 6.1, his treatment has gotten it down to 5.6 - normal. I feel like I'm on the right track with Dr. Uzmann.
