Since my first stroke 26 years ago, I have been VERY fortunate to have Dr. LePore monitor my right Carotid Artery. This was being done to be sure it will not cause me to have another as my left artery did before totally being blocked immediately after causing my stroke. Dr. LePore has been using Ultrasounds every 6 months for 20 plus years. All prior showed it was blocked 50 to 59 but he recommended I not have surgery prior. This time it jumped to 70 to 79 blocked and he ordered a more though test and it came back at 85 blocked. So, I had my surgery on Sept 24 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and was released the next day. The surgery was not minor, but I was in his great experienced hands. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. LePore without any reservations.
