Patient Reviews
Nov 12, 2024
? ---------------------------------------------------------------I entered the hospital on a Friday night and on Saturday they scheduled me of a Monday procedure of a ‘Cardio Catheterization’ with the Cardio team led by Dr. Moore. The Cardio operation theater was staffed by what looked like a team 6-12 people in a very modern looking almost space-age like facility and the whole team functioned wonderfully well together. The procedure had to deal with my heart losing blood pressure precipitously and the team was quick to insert a special cutting-edge tiny heart pump called an Impella that ‘spins at a rate of 7000rpm per minute’ to keep my blood flowing while the 3 stents were strategically placed. As I was only under local anesthetics I was aware of the seriousness of the situation and I marveled at how efficiently the Dr and his team responded and successfully completed the procedures. I was sent to ICU for recovery where I was closely monitored by the very dedicated staff that in every instance was attentive, efficient and professional in every way. I must note that the meal service was also quite good and at one point I didn’t want to leave! BY Wednesday, after close monitoring and determination that the incisions had clotted and were healing sufficiently, and my vital signes had normalized, I was released from the hospital. Thank you! …to Dr. Moore and his team and to everyone at Oak Hill Hospital for helping me through this ordeal so wonderfully. I would highly recommend Oak Hill Hospital for any medical emergency. What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
