I had a failed surgery that left me with PTSD and a strong distrust of surgeons, after undergoing a failed surgery with a different neurosurgeon who after sepsis, and a surgical clean-out, and almost half a year in hospital recovering, labeled me as difficult and too high risk, stating that I didn’t heal well. I met Dr Petr and he understood what I had been through and promised me that he would ensure that I would be safe, the procedure would be successful, and I went in not knowing what to expect as far as recovery, but trusting him with my body. I had a perfect surgery, and my recovery went faster than anyone expected. When I needed a revision, again, I went to Dr Petr. And he did an even better job than the last time (if that is even possible). Dr Petr’s focus and experience on “difficult cases” and is the epitome of what a patient wants in a neurosurgeon. I have nothing but gratitude and respect for him and his team.
