Having had medical care responsibility for two aged parents, now deceased, I acquired considerable experience in dealing with physicians of many specialties. Dr. Clemmens is truly UNIQUE in that he LISTENS and MAKES USE OF information supplied by family members (who after all, have intimate knowledge of the patient)! Dr. Clemmens incorporated (our) information into his carefully crafted strategy of care for our son while in the ICU. Using our info led to decisions on care that were sometimes at odds with his colleagues, who seemingly preferred to "go by the book" in treatment protocol and procedures. I truly believe that Dr. Clemmens innate intuition (intelligence, training, expertise, etc.) as well as willingness to work with the family saved my son's life! The YOUNG family will forever remain in his debt.
